So It was a lovely little job making these two beautiful tables. The client had just renovated his kitchen and didn't want the compact laminate island too to go to waste, so he thought he would use it as the top of some nested table. He wanted the colour to match the kitchen and that was the brief.
I love these sort of jobs as I get to exercise my design brain without re inventing the wheel. I knew my client liked a modern style from previous work we had done together so with that in mind I started to draw. I had a clear idea early on. very minimalist with a little low key flair. That became the subtle curves on the corners That continued down the legs.
Personally I think they have come out wonderfully. Client was chuffed and I'm working on another project for him later this year.
