About Matthias Mac

Inspired by my Father and Grandfather before him, it is safe to say that the sawdust in my veins runs deep!  Combine that with years of experience and learning from some of the best in the industry to give me everything I need to take on any bespoke, freestanding and fitted furniture project that comes my way.  My work has been influenced by the mid-century modern movement, Sheraton style, Arts & Crafts and Shaker style.

Roots

My academic study of woodwork really began when I was 16, where I studied Design Technology at A-level. I loved the practical side, and all I wanted to do was make; after which I decided I would become a furniture maker.

I managed to secure a position at Peter Sefton's Furniture School, where I gained a wealth of knowledge. Alongside that, in the breaks between terms, I volunteered to assist Pete with his other classes. I also gained a work placement with a well established, local cabinet maker.

After graduating from the furniture school, and thanks to my dedication to detail, I was taken on full time as a cabinet maker by a local high-end furniture maker.  This is where I really got to put my knowledge into practice and gained hands on, real life experience making luxury furniture for destinations all over the world.

I am based in Pinvin near Pershore, Worcestershire but my work takes me across much of the Cotswolds.

I look forward to hearing from you to discuss your project.

"I had 3 bespoke boxes made as gifts, and they are all amazing and beautiful - thrilled with them. Great service and a nice guy!"
